KMR’s beauty image wins in APA|NY Contest

Earlier this month, the New York Chapter of American Photographic Artists announced the winners of their 2014 Photo Contest. Kevin Michael Reed’s beauty image of Karly from Click Model Management (New York) was selected as the winner of the Fashion/Beauty Category.

This image was shot as part of a beauty shoot marathon last year. Over the course of an 8 hour day, we shot a total of 12 looks on three models. Click here to see more images from the shoot with Karly.

The APA New York Photo Contest is held each year. This year’s contest was sponsored by Agency Access and Dripbook. The judges included Carly Chappell (Freelance Art Producer), Kat Gates Keeley (SVP Creative Director @ Publicis Kaplan Thaler), Kaia Hemming (Art Producer @ McCann Worldwide Group), Brian Bergeron (Creative Director @ MoMA Design Store), and Jennifer Bergamini (Principal/Creative Director @ Alamini Creative Group).

As part of the prize for winning the fashion/beauty category Kevin’s image will be included in the APANY Contest Booklet sent to creatives in the New York City area, Featured in the 2014 contest gallery on Dripbook and APANY.com, and Kevin will be invited to two portfolio breakfasts that APANY will host for agency creatives in NYC.
